It's been a while.

I was going to start this blog on September 1st but I got a bit distracted.  I've been moving stuff around since my time with Brandy has ended.  I stayed with Jackie for a few days and now I'm staying at my Grandparent's place.  They're on vacation right now so I pretty much have the place to myself... almost.  My cousin Sean has been coming over daily to hang out and use Grandma's computer.  He's not too much bother but a little bit distracting.  I have been doing some crafty stuff too.  I have a pile of stuff to take pics of and post.

My new plan is to start Blogging on October 1st.  I guess this blog doesn't officially count because I'm not posting anything crafty.  I'll just throw out a few of the random things running through my mind....

Brandy's son Ben has been driving us nuts about Halloween since Sept. 1st.  We've tried to convince him that a month ahead of the holiday is enough time to prepare and make fun things.  But he's been bringing stuff home from school and coming up with ideas for making a costume and watching every Halloween themed movie that Brandy owns.

It's slowly been breaking me down and now I've got ideas running through my head.  I figure I can come up with some fun Halloween activities for me and Brandy and her boys to do.  I'm also working on my costume.  I usually go trick-or-treating with Brandy and the kids but this year I've asked her if I can dress up her front porch and give out candy.  I want to create a haunting scene with me as a fortune-telling Gypsy.  I have strobe lights and all kinds of witchy items to lay the scene.  Safeway sells dry ice so I was going to buy some and create a bubbling cauldron.

I have lots of Halloween ideas that I'm sure Ben will be happy to help me with.

My other inspiration right now comes from the Handcar Regatta.  I went last year with Brandy because her mother called us the day it was happening.  It was so much fun and there was so much eye candy.  This year I found out about it early and even dressed up a bit.  I love the Moulin-Rouge inspired fashions mixed with Vernian styled Sci-Fi contraptions.  Steampunk is a delightfully eclectic and anachronistic fad.  I see so much potential in adding a little Steampunk flair to my everyday life.

So that's some of the stuff that's going through my creative mind right now.  Plenty to keep me busy for a while.

More coming soon....  Hopefully
